Thanks. You must have read my mind. I'm seriously loving the Zune and my only complaint was the serious screen glare.

Didn't think I'd like the social aspect but me and another fella here at work have been wirelessly trading tunes like crazy, exploring bands we might not otherwise take the time to do.

121 to go......

Almost time to celebrate.

I am now going to order a media server to pair up with the Squeeze Box. The only one I'm aware of is the HP. Anyone know of another server I should look at??

I have an HP media server and it is very good and pretty easy to setup and forget about it.
Keep in mind that, for the Squeeze Center, you will have to use Remote Desktop to install it on the server.

Are you being facetious or is it a real question?

Here are some others to consider. link It all depends on your budget, but the Mvix MX-780HD is pretty slick. Here's a link to their website.

No, it's a real question. I am the board PC and software idiot, and I'm OK with that. Do not be afraid of talking down to me.

No problemo. It just sounded like a sarcastic remark.
As for Remote Desktop, it is just a set of protocols and tools used to remotely access a computer like if it was in front of you.

Since the HP Media Server does not come with a monitor or keyboard, it is normally accessible through a supplied software called "Media Server Console" running from your other computers. That console allows you to install, uninstall and configure software that is considered "part of the HP offering".

In order to install "non-officially supported software", you need to access the HP Media Server like if you were physically connected to it. The software to do that under Windows is called "Remote Desktop". (which I am currently using from an old laptop to type this post remotely on my desktop).
