Is there any plans on developing and releasing a lower price amp that us poor people can afford from Axiom any time soon?

Possibly a two channel amp to drive my M60's?? That would be nice.

The price on the A1400-8 is just too high for me.

I would love a 2 channel version of that amp for my M80's!

An A1400-2 was (somewhat) announced, but I wouldn't count on it being significantly cheaper. We can dream, though...

700 watts per speaker? You won't have to tell us your impressions, we will all be able to hear you just fine.

With great power comes Awesome irresponsibility.

Hi CooLJ92,

Yes, there are plans. Give us two or three months. And it will cost signifcantly less.

Regards,

Alan

I've heard Emotiva works really well, after that Yamaha or Onkyo are your sure-fire best bets. Make sure though that you turn your voltage switch to the highest impedance possible. No lower than 16 or 32 ohms if at all possible to avoid destroying both the receiver and M80s in a puff of smoke.

so is this amp Alan is talking about the one we talked about a few months ago, basically a 2 channel version of the 1400-8? Or, is he talking about something more economical for us Axiom folk. \:\)

2 channel version of the 1400 was the last thing I heard about it and about half the price, IIRC, not much of a deal.

I heard if you get really expensive speaker wire with extra snake oil you don't even need an amplifier at all.

The really expensive stuff actually has a negative resistance which acts as its own amp... at least that is what I read online.

Somehow they'd figure out how to make it out of paper, and then charge more than anyone for it.
