What are you using to clean your plasma tv screens? I see plasma/lcd specific kits in stores that are $20 - $30. Are they just Windex in a fancy package? So far I have been using glass cleaner on mine with no ill effects.

good question, I just got a new Panny Plasma, may need to check the owners manual to see what they recommend. So far, still clean...

We've owned plasmas for about six years and use nothing special, a little glass cleaner every now and then without any grave effects so far.

I thought I read not to use glass cleaner on a plasma. Something to do with the anti glare coating. I have a plasma and lcd cleaning kit that I will use. I know it worked well on the lcd.

By golly you are right Rick...

Cleaning a Plasma screen

We've never had any issues, but then I don't believe we're using an ammonia based cleaner either. I know it's not Windex.

I had a smudge the other day from one of the boys hands, just took a damp cloth and blotted it off. I'm sure at some point I'll need to dust/clean it...will have to research. Thanks Rick x 2.

I seem to remember from reading the instruction manual of my rp that I was only to use a damp cloth (water).

All you need is one very damp and one dry cloth (microfiber) and gently apply a little elbow grease. No need to spend money on exotic screen cleaning kits.
