They are going to sound kind of funny inside the boxes They are supposed to be a sealed design. Unfortunately, you'll hear other's thoughts first... I won't be home to try them for another week

I took couple of pictures before and after opening. The speakers look fine. They did a great job packing them. if it wasn't for the fine packing, the speakers would definitely be damaged. I opened up the top and also on the side where there was an opening. Both of them look good despite the condition of the boxes.

So again, Axiom comes through.
They are far too heavy for her to open them all the way up, so I'll have to rely on the next person's pix to see what they look like out of the box! Actually, Fedex left them outside the garage, and she pushed them in herself (she's only 5'-7", weighs 120 lbs... Lighter than one of the boxes!)

Tom, Mama had to bribe them with cookies and milk to take 5 mins to open the boxes and take the pix. They are bigger than the trash can though!
