Another question for the guru's, when I bought my new computer I ended up getting the Dell 24' Ultra Sharp monitor and am very pleased with it.
So now I'm looking to replace the monitor for our bedroom PC (old gateway 18' LCD). I'm looking at wide screens in the 20' to 22' inch range.
I've thought about going with another Dell monitor but the Samsungs look pretty nice also.
The reviews on the web are all over the place regarding the best monitors, so I'll rely on my best source for help.
Anyone have some favorites they want to share, Thanks.

I use dual Dell 24" model number 2408WFP at work and they're great.

It has PIP capability, you can hook up hdmi, vga, dvi, component.

The only thing I don't like is that I feel like they should be able to raise a little higher than they do.

I've got a Samsung SyncMaster 2253BW, love it, no problems at all. Have it wall mounted with a very inexpensive bracket from Monoprice, keeps the desk clear.

I have a 2408WFP (24 inch) and a 20 inch monitor. Both Dell. Lots of screen space :-)

I'm using the Dell UltraSharp 2408WFP in the office and really like it. But I don't want to spend that much for the bedroom.

The Samsung SyncMasters look really nice, but there are about 200 different models to choose from, I'll look up the 2253BW, I'm attempting to stay in the $250.00 and below range and get the best PQ as possible.

If you are simply looking for something that works well and is very inexpensive then check out the 22" acer monitors. I picked one up for my wife for only $169.00. It's great, but I'm not sure not as nice as the ultrasharp dell, which is what I will eventually be getting for my office.

Michael, we bought this Acer H213H and are happy with it. It seems to get excellent reviews at Newegg, and it works fine and looks good to me. Perhaps my vision is not as good as other folks, though \:\)

I can't comment on the monitor, but Newegg is one of the very best...

I'm using a HP w2007 20", it's the best monitor I've ever used and had great reviews at the time of purchase; couldn't see the reviews changing much now.

If Newegg sells something that I'm looking for, I almost always buy it from them. I have had only excellent service from Newegg.

Thanks for the help everyone,
I ended up buying a Samsung T220 open box from the Amazon wharehouse, the entire total came to $214.99. So I'm pretty happy I stayed under my budget and got a moniter that is supposed to be pretty decent. I'll let you all know if it lives up to expectations in a couple days.

I received my monitor today, not only does it have a great picture, but the monitor itself is beautiful.
This was an open box purchase, but it looks absolutely brand new, needless to say I'm a happy camper.

Does it have a shiny black bezel that looks beautiful but also show fingerprints like crazy? That's the only downside to gloss black.

Very shiny, it looks like a mini version of the Samsung LCD touch of color TV's with the glass over the bezel.
