Ken's going to be reading Towers of Midnight soon, I'll bet. I only got partway into The Eye of the World when I semi-decided to re-read the series. I'm still going to re-read, but I've found it hard to dig in when I know the end still isn't written. There's only one more volume left after Towers of Midnight is released on Tuesday, though, right? Maybe now is the time to finally start my re-read. Well, after NaNoWriMo, anyway.

I got a look at someone's new Kindle last week. I was impressed with the screen. Very clear, and didn't seem fatiguing in the slightest to look at. I never saw the previous Kindles, though. I think it would make a good gift for my sister. Maybe.

Yup, one more, which has been (sigh) postponed until March 2012.

How to Beat Up Anybody by the World Champion Judah Friedlander. Entertaining so far. Not sure he's up to Robert Hamburger's level, but still good stuff.

Oh, there is a "reading" thread. Doesn't get to get much use; bunch of illiterate people on this forum I guess.

I'll have to remember this come the start of March.

Start of March. I just got The Wise Man's Fear, The Kingkiller Chronicle: Day Two, by Patrick Rothfuss. The first book in the planned trilogy, The Name of the Wind, is one of the best books I've ever read.

If you like fantasy in the least, and haven't checked it out, do so right now.

Stir-Frying to the Sky's Edge by Grace Young

For a cooking dummy like me, this seems to be a great introduction. Everything is broken down very well, and it seems like it will take me as far as I want to go into stir-frying insanity.

Two days and 262 pages into The Wise Man's Fear. Not bad for a slow reader.

I do beg all of you, once again, if you have the slightest fondness for fantasy, e.g. you liked Neverending Story, or Princess Bride, you'd do much worse than to check out the first book, The Name of the Wind. I don't recommend books to people, to me they are more personal than music, but this is one of the best I've read in my life.

Thanks for the recommendation. I'll put it in my Saved For Later for now and purchase it at some point.

Stir frying is a good place to start. The basic method is the same for each recipe, but you can get a fair variety of flavour with different sauces.

Now all you need is that GreenPan.
