Please don't yell (ie, type in all caps).

Just get some 12 or 14 gauge wire from Home Depot, Parts Express, Radio Shack, etc. There are a number of threads 'round here about speaker wire that have huge raging arguments therein. Have fun perusing them!

Yea! Any standard 12 - 16 gauge cable should be sufficient (and not too pricey either).

Haha - Actually, that happened to a friend of mine... He spilled some soda on his laptop's keyboard, and from then on it's been different (even after we've taken it apart and cleaned it).

Rich, study this often-cited article and table for info on the suggested wire gauge. As you'll see, standard lamp cord 16ga or heavier should be fine for your use.
