Looks to be something along the lines of Yamaha's presence speakers.

Crimany, I just placed my order with Brent last night. Now I need to add 4 more fronts!!! OK, lets start the discussion now:
What speakers are recommended for the new 'Audyssey front four'.

Now we know what needs to be in the new 3810... support for 11.3 and this new Audyssey version. They have time. That would give me plenty of time to save up! :o)

Check out Dolby PLIIz. http://www.dolby.com/consumer/technology/prologic-IIz.html

The Blu-Ray spec allows for 11.2 sound. That's 3 mains, 3 height, 4 surrounds, a "Voice of God" speaker - directly above your head, and 2 subs. Not quite sure how Audyssey plans to get around these specs...

The trend is clear, Randy. The future of sound reproduction will involve a setup with so many speakers as to not leave space for any human beings in the room. The speakers will totally surround an Audyssey microphone located at the sweet spot.

Enjoy the music, not the equipment.
