Monster "HDMI Difference Scam" surfaces again.

Some of the comments on that link actually try to defend what they are doing which is sad. The whole point is, they are using deception to try to sell. I've been in an audio store that was really persistant at pushing a certain brand of TV over another and a certain format (LCD/Plasma). I won't say which brand or format they were pushing but basically they had them set up next to each other...see brand 'A' is much clearer than brand 'B' which uses the 'other' format!! OK, but why are you comparing a 1080P TV at 240hz to a 720p at 60hz that also has not been set up properly(contrast, brightness ect)?

I think the quotes were in the wrong place. According to the text the sign says "Monster HDMI difference", showing the improvement you can get by using HDMI, perhaps with a cable from Monster. They are getting more careful, at least.

They may word it to keep the legalities in place, but you just know that the pimply faced store clerk is going to use the set up to score the bigger commissions on the Monster Cable.
