OK, we are looking for a nice classical piece (or a snippet from it) to play as my wife to be walks down the aisle. Perhaps another one for exit from the wedding. Any suggestions? Ideally we will buy them as single mp3's from amazon or order a cd... but time is running out and we have to hear it before we buy it. Thanks! EDIT: OK, I think she likes this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6wpPk8qk3uQstill open to suggestions of something along those lines... thanks
-David

On the top of my head, one mouvement I always had a good balance between pump and dignity is Handel's first movement of his Opus 6 no 5. Here is a "Amazon" link to a sample of track 19: http://www.amazon.com/gp/recsradio/radio...ck=019&disc=001

Additional: there is always the famous "air on a G string by Bach" (not to confuse with the G-strings from your bachelor's party!) (DISK 2 - TRACK 2 "Air") http://www.amazon.com/Bach-Orchestral-Su...42485709&sr=1-5

EDIT: If you want to sample a lot of classical disks, you can sign up for "emusic.com" which will give you many free tracks and then you can cancel. http://www.emusic.com/album/Arte-dei-Suo...d/11282656.html

When I get married, my wedding song is going to be "Bullet in the Head" by Rage against the Machine.
On a serious note, congrats on the wedding, David!

Mark, I was supposed to be the best man for my best friends wedding on August 1, and he would expect nothing less, but unfortunately his fiancée's parents called the wedding off. Everyone in the wedding party had a time limit, except me, and I was looking forward to it .

David, the linked Pachelbel Canon would be a good choice for processional music and a fine performance is found on MP3 sample 10. here . The beautiful and elegant music from Bach's Arioso(sample 6.)might be an even nicer choice. Among the possibilities for recessional music would be the Hornpipe from Handel's Water Music(sample 1.). Hope they don't play it on Bose, but to make sure you can bring your Axioms along.

Hey thanks everyone for the wonderful suggestions, and a special thanks to Mr. MarkSJohnson for hooking me up with some CD's (in route via mail now)
This will show my wife-to-be that the Axiom forums aren't a time waster after all!
We have one CD coming from Amazon and some from Mark so we have some deciding to do!

good one Peter, I picture this type of music more appropriate for mother-in-laws though!

Peter, somehow I don't think that would go over well with the Mrs. See, that was actually a test. And I'm happy to report that you've passed.

For a while the Imperial March from Star Wars was the ringtone I used to identify my wife's calls. It worked well because obviously if she was calling me, she wasn't close enough to hear what I was using....heh heh.
