I can drive the amp to clipping (red light comes on) but that has not changed since I bought them. And listening at that level while not painfull makes me wonder about my hearing over time.

The best part is the amp runs cool and listing for hours at loud volumes during parties never concerns me anymore.

Anyway I am sad you had such a bad experience. I would have been curious if it would have went to the right channel if you switched the speakers. Anyway glad to hear you are enjoying the M80's with your new amp.



I certainly can understand that, when my RPA-2 was working, I loved it too.

I actually was going to swap speakers when I got the second one back, but was too paranoid to even hook it up, it would have been interesting for sure if the right channel went. That definitely would indicate the speaker was the problem.

But so far, my mono's are working great. Thanks for the kind words, take care.
