I have to admit I've never played either. What's my problem?!

I liked them because they were different and tried something new. Gotta respect a product that goes against conventional wisdom and popular flavor. Yeah, the games aren't for everyone, but I found an emotional connection with them, or was drawn into them more so than other games.

ACK! I had both the PS2 version of Gods of War in one hand and Shadow of the Colossus in the other hand from a bargain bin Friday and I put Colussus back because I couldn't decide and Gods of War was much cheaper and I kinda wanted to finally say I took advantage of the PS2 playing ability of my PS3 finally.

Now you are making me wish I switched. I never even cracked the shrink wrap on the other one yet so I can't comment how I like it.

Oops I meant to say something I watched too. Went to see "Up" on the weekend. I enjoyed it way more than I thought I would. I had no doubts it would be great, being a Pixar film, but it still was way more fun than I expected. Freakin sad at points though. Love/death/parental abandonment...... Kids really are not spared anything these days.

Kinda funny when I think of it. When I was a kid, we could do any stupid dangerous thing we wanted but nobody dared talked to us about adult issues. . Nowdays, kids are readily exposed to all sorts of emotional, adult issues every day without even a thought but we go out of our way to shelter then from every conceivable risk of a physical mishap.

Pretty big shift in priorities it seems. Not saying which is write or wrong, just that its an interesting change.

Damn it Pixar, see what you've done! In just a paragraph or two I've gone from exclaiming 3-D fun to a philosophical old man.

"Hey you kids! Stop floating above my lawn!"

The movie is about floating with balloons and stuff, right? So the joke worked??

Don't worry, it will probably become funny the next time my buddy with a power para-sailer comes flying by, buzzing our lawn. Currently I just call him Duffman, but I'm going to wear my practice old man hat and scream your remark next time he flies by.

It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia has moved up my list into classic status. There have been some pretty great episodes.
