plz tell me of your experiences ordering through axiom. did any of your speakers arrived damaged, even slightly? unfortunately, my epreriences have been that the larger/heavier the box, the more often the delivery people seem to handle them less carefully, not on purpose, just that the heavier the pkg is, the more difficult it is to move and the drivers/delivery people are always in a hurry. can you describe the way the speakers are packed? we brought home some tower speakers from cambridge soundworks and the packaging was amazing. large chunks of specially shaped foam were actually anchored/imbedded,in several places, into the sides and bottom of the boxes forming a precise cavity shaped to match the speaker, instead of the usual pieces of foam that fit around the sides and corners of most similar products. both work well, i was just impressed by the unique boxes cambridge is using. also, another important question. are the speakers sent requiring a signature from the recipient or have the speakers been left "@ the front door" thanks for your info.

I bought a pair of M80s, a VP-150 center, and a pair of QS-8s from the online outlet store. They are supposed to be "blemished". They look perfect to me. I ordered them on a Friday afternoon and they came on Tuesday. They look perfect. The only problem was a hole in one of the shipping boxes (the outside box only, as mine were double boxed) but the inner boxes and the speakers themselves were perfect.

I have M80's shipped from eastern canada to hawaii. arrrived here perfect only the outer box had a few gashes in it.

Axiom packages them in the box for the speakers with specially molded foam for the top and bottom and then they put it in a bigger second box that in about an inch or so bigger than the inner box on all sides and in the corners going all the way through the box are more cardboad spacer things to keep the inner box secure. and they ship with fed ex air. and if one did happen to come damaged. dont worry because you will get a new one in no time.

You will be pleased with Axiom's shipments. They use FED Ex which has always been reliable and fast. The M80's that I ordered came in double boxed. The outside boxes were damaged but the inner boxes were fully protected and the speakers were in perfect condition. It must be the same packaging that you experienced with Cambridge although you did not mention the second inner box.

In addition, Axiom's customer service is super. If ever, you are not satisfied with any of their deliveries, they will work with you to make it right.

I knew I would not be home when the Fed Ex guy delivers so I called them and told them to hold the delivery at their office and I just picked them up after office.

I have had great experience with them as well, double boxed M80's, qs-8, and vp-100. no problems at all. I have also retured the vp-100, to upgrade to the vp-150 and they were great. Axiom is one of the best companies to deal with, always willing to help out.

I received M60's and QS8's.

In both cases, I ordered on Thursday and received delivery via FedEx on Monday. They required a signature.

Absolutely flawless service.

I would consider myself a proper authority of various packing methods and the contents arriving safely. I can honestly say that Axiom is in the top 5 in this category. They definitely did their homework when it came to designing their packaging.

On the other hand...

I guess I'm just unlucky. After all the glowing reviews I could resist no longer and pulled the trigger on a pair of M22's. Ordered B stock (also after reading all of the favorable "don't worry about it" comments). Two day shipping, however they were single boxed with minimum styrofoam, even missing one of the corners. But the box itself did not appear damaged. 1/8 to 1/4 inch quite obvious dent on the top right front of one of the speakers, likely damaged during the build, unfortunately a very noticeable area. Can't blame them, though it is B stock after all. But you are most definitely taking a gamble with what you get. Don't fool yourself. However, of course the most important thing to me is how they sound, and while I am finding it is taking time to get used to them, I am "understanding" a little better each day.

You may want to contact Axiom about that. Even the factory direct speakers should not have any major cosmetic damage. It should be minor, such as a small mark on the side. Not a chunk missing. Contact Amie and see if she can do anything for you. This sounds like it could have been a shipping company issue.

I would contact her as well. I've bought all buy my M2i's through the factory, and never had any issues like that. That doesn't sound right.

thanks, I did e-mail her and she is is going to check into it. As I mentioned it wasn't packed very well. I wonder if the smaller units are packed differently? Regardless, I still am not overly concerned because they do in fact seem to be a good company to deal with and have good service/support. I suppose if you are concerned about shipping, you could ask them ahead of time to take extra care.
