(WARNING!!!! THIS IS ANOTHER CABLE QUESTION.)

Well my first post...
Thanks for all the "sound" advice in here.
After reading here and at the AVS forum, I think that my setup will be:
Denon AVR3803 (shipping)
Denon DVD1200 (shipping)
Panasonic 42" ...6YU (already owned)
(2) Axioms M22ti's for L&R (not yet bought)
(1) Axiom VP100 for Center (not yet bought)
I also have DirectTivo, BellVu Express (Sat), XBox, Region 2 DVD.. etc...

Anyway... I think that should be a good setup. Speaker wise... I'm not buying back speakers yet because I'm not there yet...
But.. !!!

I'm not too sure on the wires..
I will be running one single component wire from the AVR to the TV and it will be about 30 feet. Same for the speaker wires. They will be in wall and 30 feet away...

Will these do ?
http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/pshowdetl.cfm?&PartNumber=100-762&DID=7

Or can I find better ?

Where and what cable should I get for the components ?

Thanks again for all the help..

Welcome, Paul. The 14ga Parts Express cable would be plenty for 30 feet in-wall. You could pay a lot more but you wouldn't get anything significantly better. One thing I'm curious about is the 30 foot in-wall runs. Couldn't the 3803 be placed close to the front speakers and TV for a short direct run?

An example of a 25 foot component TV cable that would be fine is this . If 30 feet is necessary, it would run a fair amount more, since that isn't a standard length(I'd have a different suggestion).

Why 30 feet.. well because the TV is a plasma and it will be against the wall. nothing else on that wall. And... in the room next to this one there is a "lost" space where all my gear would fit wonderfully. I just can't figure out what else could in there. But it's a 30 feet run... Actually 24 feet horizontally.

The Space is 20 inches wide. Could anyone suggest a nice piece of stereo furniture I could put in there ?

What would be your oter suggetion ?
I do need the 30 feet...

Thanks

Because you are running it in wall, (and because I'm a fan of their cables) - I might suggest the Canare speaker wire. http://www.canare.com

The 4s8 is 4x16 gauge wire that is equivalent to 13 gauge wire, because you use each twisted pair as you would a single conductor.

I say this might be good for in-wall, because this wire twisting method is excellent for RFI rejection... and there can be plenty of that in your wall, with power lines and whatnot.

You can get this for about 40 cents a foot from www.markertek.com, so it's not pricey by any means.

Paul, I didn't completely follow that description, but a good 30 foot component video cable would be this . Our frequent contributor sushi used 75 feet of it with good results in a front-projector setup.

Just an FYI, if this "lost space" is a closed space (i.e., a closet) make sure you consider the cooling needs of the electronics.

Good luck

Thanks for all the help..
No it's not a closed space. It's an open space.. Really lost if not used for that... ;-)
I'll try all those cables..
