I learned about on Facebook, of all places, since I get NPR updates there.

He left quite a mark on the music world.

no kidding, I watched a documentary on him not that many years ago, he could still play pretty darn good, even with arthritus.

Les not only had arthritis but he broke his arm in a car wreck and he lost the ability to bend the arm at the elbow. He had the doctor set it at angle so he could continue to play guitar.

Les invented multi track recording amongst a lot of other innovations. He was a unique individual. R.I.P.
