Last night I watched the Tarheels handle LSU - then watched DOOK struggle against Texas. After that, I watched part of disc 2 of Dexter. Never would have picked that one out had it not been for this thread. I would say that during the second episode on disc 1 which we watched Thursday and Friday, I started getting the subtle humor that is sprinkled throughout the scenes. By last night, I was laughing out loud at some of his "thoughts"

Just watched Roger Rabbit. I'll probably try to get in some more of Sebring before I hit the sack, but it's going to be an early morning tomorrow...

Watched Children of Huang Shi.
Very interesting story of a reporter trapped within Japan's occupation of parts of China in the late 30s. He ends up staying and taking over an all but abandoned orphanage and eventually leads the boys on a 2 month long trek to safety through the mountains. "Inspired" by a true story so you take the details with a grain of salt but they did interview some of the survivors at the end of the film.

Not a best movie ever but one I recommend watching some lazy Sunday afternoon.

I just remembered that I wanted to mention that I saw Taking Chance last week and really, really liked it. Very moving, in my opinion.

I honestly don't have many opportunities to watch movies so I don't "keep up with them". For all I know, this movie has already been mentioned. If so, just consider this another nod...

It was entertaining enough... and wrong enough.

Well, until this very post...

Mark, you're right, I was confusing it with every other thread. \:\)

Quantum of Solace, pleasantly surprised to say the least because the reviews I read were a bit shabby, we loved Daniel Craig's physicality and perceive it as more honest/authentic than the supposedly "high class" Bond characterizations (even if who could not love SC).

Total watershed moment, first blu ray we have watched since we received the replacement 800 and for the first time there were zero defects in the sound (not to impugn the first 800, I think it may have been the Yammie, ao remember the model #, 386?), no crackling, no popping, no sub rattling; the first 60 seconds I watched the 3808 manual and the blu ray cover vibrate off the sub, that thing puts out some bass!!

Still running the sub a bit hot obviously to see what it is capable of but man is it capable! Everything at reference volumes today or perhaps a few times even beyond and clarity beyond belief.

Well now I get to tweak/play at my leisure rather than troubleshoot, Hallelujah, have I reached the promised land, oh wait, there are no promises, that does not compute . . .
