Well I am hoping to replace my speakers (finally). Going to be using On Wall or In Wall speakers. Had a couple odd Qs.
1. Has anyone here found the M/W22's notloud enough (sensitivity). 2. Has anyone used a trio of W150s for their LCR?
I ask as I see the W150 has a higher sensitivity than the W22.

I have a pair of M22s and they play quite loud (got them as high as 110db without distortion and that was not the limit of the speaker, but the when I had enough).
I do recall a house in Florida (all windows) where the setup contained 3 VP150s ceiling mounted. With a motorized screen, the entire HT setup would disapear when not in use.

Hey dude, welcome back. I hope things are going better for you.
What size room are you putting these in? There has been a lot of talk around here in the last few months about the M22 and what a value they offer. M80 sound (minus the bass) on a value budget.

Mark, the M22s are average in sensitivity and can provide all the volume that's safe to hear with typical receivers anywhere in the 100 watt range. In my own use I've measured a peak reading of 106dB, when listening to my most dynamic classical CDs at a quite loud average level(about 85dB), higher than I generally use. More typically, with levels about 10dB below that, both the M22s and the receivers can handle the material with room to spare.

Enjoy the music, not the equipment.

John, you mean to tell me you had your stereo playing up past 100 db's??? Wow, that IS news!!! Lol, just kidding buddy. Seriously though, if you're listening to classical music at an average of 85 db's and the peaks are 106, what would the peaks be if I were listening at an average of 105? They wouldn't jump all the way to 126 would they? Just curious.
Mapatton, having never personally heard the M22's before, and being a VP150 owner and admirer, you may be surprised when I say that I would suggest going with M22 L/R and the VP150 center. I say this because IMO the VP is a very specific speaker. Being designed for center channel use, it isn't really built to play low frequencies. For one thing, you'll notice it isn't ported. Now don't get me wrong, I feel it does a fantastic job at center, I may be in the minority in that belief, but I stand by my fondness of it.
But I would not attempt to use it for L/R mains. I suppose you could do worse. But at the same time, looking through Axiom's many offerings, you could also do much better. Expecially when you consider that two M22's are only a little more than one VP150 (heck for what you'd pay for a pair of VP150's, you could almost buy a set of M60's... now THOSE have all the volume any sane person could ever need!). But no matter what you do, I hope it knocks your socks off!!!

Many thanks everyone. The room they are going in is roughly 3600 cu ft, though space challenged. Unfortunately the T Series are too deep to consider so looking at the W Series (also the budget is tight). Pretty routinely when I play, it is around 100db (as I am playing along on my guitar) as that approximates the stage volume I play at. (well 95-105).
I don't like pushing my Pios Elite 94(140 WPC) too hard, so thus the reason for the OP.
Not to worried about bass. My current sub fulfills this to my satisfaction and I do I rely on it as I have everything crossed at 80.
