Ok, yeah I'm a first timer for a building a HT. I was looking at some paradigm's but the price is just too high, and they may or may not be worth it. So I'm thinking of filling my 14x20 room with some Axioms. So this is what I was thinking. A EP175, a pair of QS8's, a pair of M60ti's and I'm not sure about the center VP100 or VP150(seems kinda big though). To run the whole thing either a Marantz SR5300, or a Denon AVR-1804? Not sure which yet. Then the display will probably be a Sony Grand Wega 42" LCD or something of similar size in a LCD or DLP. Anyway any insight, thoughts or suggestions etc etc would be much appreciated. Thanks All!

I have just bought the Denon 1804 and it is a really great sounding receiver through my qs4'a and vp100. I would suggest you get the vp150 considering the size of your room.
I can't comment on the M60's but I now wish I had spent the extra cash for the qs8's.
Just a side note on the 1804 if you are ever thinking about a full 7.1 system. The 1804 splits the 6th channel into 2 speakers and only the 1 amplification channel is used. The 2300 has full 7 channel amplification.

the axiom system you are thinking about will be excellent. I would go for the vp 150 as you will probably start wondering "what if" if you end up getting the vp 100

You will likely be happier with a Hsu VTF-2 or STF-2, and they both cost less than the EP175.

the axiom subs are quite capable, but all the rage nowadays is over svs and HSU.

I do like the idea of having all the components I can get to match up. Don't know if it matters that much or not but, I may go all Axiom speakers, and all Denon for receiver and dvd player. Except for LCD Tv heh Sony, Samsung or Hitachi I guess.......

I suggest doing some more research before investing heavily now in a large display. Look into the LCoS technology that is coming online. The consumer electronics show in Las Vegas opening Jan. 8 should bring some significant revelations.

I wouldn't buy a new tv yet. Intel has just jumped into the LCoS chip market. This could (will) change everything. LCoS prices should drop dramatically in the next year or so. LCoS is also (from all I've read) far and away the best looking of the new TV technologies.
