I was able to put the new sub through it's paces yesterday. I listen to about 3 hours of music and several scenes in movies and the new sub performed wonderfully! No burning or smoke, just nice deep bass. My thanks again to Ian and the Axiom gang for shipping a replacement so quickly!

Just to update everyone, JC emailed me on the 10th with the following:

Axiom has completed all the tests and the result is a bullet proof solution. Axiom will phone you on the day when it will ship you your replacement subs; it will be in a near future.

Have a splendid day !

JC

I look forward to receiving the (hopefully) finalized amps. Then I can start inviting people over for movies and games again. Of course, that also means cleaning the house again, too.

That sounds like a price too high to pay for a more stable sub. Keep the current one. \:\)

I got a PM from Ian about 2 weeks ago pertaining to my center M80 speaker, and he did say that they were finishing up a final solution on the EP800s, and I may get new amps shipped in the near future, so this is REALLY good news CV! JC did say replacement Subs, not Amps, so you may get lucky and not have to rewire this time!

I noticed he said subs, too, so that would be really great if it's true. \:\)

Good news. Just got an E-Mail from Peter. An entire new sub is being sent for my 1st sub that has it's 3rd amp. This is the sub that did not burn out. Also, a new amp is being sent to replace the amp in the new sub I got last month to replace the burned out sub. I'm a little confused, but it sounds like a good thing! ;\)

He shouldn't. I would be so happy with what I have now. No problems, and the bass shakes my house. I never asked for anything more. My post was sort of tongue in cheek. To get a brand new left sub, and a new amp for my right without asking is just incredible. Axiom's support is unmatched, it really is so uncommon today.
