Well, I hooked up the EP800s and have been enjoying them. I don't have the AS-EQ1 in the chain right now. I'll have to try putting it back in when I have a normal computer monitor again and can see what I'm doing in the SubEQ software at the same time I'm sending out calibration signals to the preamp.

I'm definitely happy with the performance. Also, the backs of the amps aren't getting nearly as hot, which was already mentioned. Way to go, Axiom.

I'll have to get some friends over for a movie or some gaming.

Peter from Axiom emailed me to say that he would work on something and get back to me on Tuesday. Nice.

I'm going to see what my dad will let me get away with, at least. I figured I'd be safe with at least one on each wall in case the layout ever shifts.

Just make sure you don’t keep anything around the house that “the man” might be interested in. With the increased electricity use and heat output from your basement your place is getting raided Charles. ;\)

Ha ha, I hadn't thought of that aspect.

I talked to my dad today and he said all of those dedicated circuits are an option, since there's plenty of room in the breaker panel. Separate breaker boxes for both the ground floor and the basement, so it should be easy when we redo the walls down there.

Oh, something I forgot to mention that was a little eerie.... When I was putting the new EP800s in place, I set the volume knobs where I thought they should be. When I took the readings with the AS-EQ1, the first sub was within 0.1 dB of reference, and the other was within 0.3 dB. I've never had to not adjust before. It was CRAZY.

Did you play the lottery that day, too?
