If you fished with her... warning: picture is somewhat provocative, but don't worry she is clothed.

Some people are like Slinky's, not much use however, when pushed down stairs, they make you smile.

I would say yes, those DO look like Micropterus Salmoides, the large mouth bass.
She must be quite the angler, I would much rather fish with someone less talented, leaving more fish for me.

Believe it or not, even if she were part of the party, I still would not go fishing. I'm one of those radical animal rights kind of people. Now, if she were in a book club or something, I'd join that!

I fished less and less the last few years until last year, I hung up the rod. Not because I'm a radical or anything but because trout and salmon are becomeing so rare in our rivers here the last few years that I feel I should do my part to conserve. Even though I had already made the change to catch and release a long time ago, i just started feeling like I had to do my share in conserving the stock if I was going to complain about the Farmers and others practicing bad land usage resulting in HUGE toxic fish kills every year. That's not the only reason fish are disappearing but if I'm going to complain, I want to be able to say I'm contributing to make it better in my own small way too.

I supposed Jesus should have been arrested for telling the disciples to cast their net on the other side of the boat.

I hope I'm not the one who can be blamed for changing this from a thread about an attractive young woman in a bikini to a thread discussing the bible. I'm too new around here to afford that kind of reputation.

Haha. Nope. Derailing is what we do best. Although I hesitate to use the term after the Via Rail derailment yesterday. What a nice surprise to look out at where your garage once stood and see a train engine instead.
As for the Jesus comment. Respectfully, I was not insinuating that we should all stop fishing. I enjoy eating fish on a regular basis but on my tiny Island, the trout populations are in 'measurable' jeopardy and we are now down to one lone, single river that has any salmon at all returning to it. In this localized area, conservation is required to protect what is left. This isn't a radical opinion, our Dept. of fisheries has been limiting catches and moving more and more rivers to catch and release only.
I will gladly return to my love of fly fishing if the stocks return to safe levels. (I suck at it anyways so I'm not much of a threat.) But for now, I'm just trying to do my part.

The best fishing I ever experienced was when I was a teenager. I went on a 109 mile canoe trip in northern Saskatchewan. We wouldnt even see people for a couple days at a time. We stopped at a place called Stanley Mission well at that time there wasnt even a road to there. The road was still quite a few miles away. We did come across these flyin fishing camps once in a while. The country up there is just beautiful, nothing but trees and lakes everywhere, a stark contrast to southern Saskatchewan. We were like real voyageurs, there were areas where we would have to portage. We took provisions with us, but some days we were slated to eat fish, so we had to catch fish. Well anyways getting back to the best fishing ever. It was where this very small river emptied into this lake. We were pulling the picoral out of there about 1 fish every five minutes. I actually recieved a certificate from the Saskatchewan proclaiming me as a genuine Saskatchewan voyageur. I dont know if its still like that but if anyone ever has a chance to take a canoe trip or even just camping, jump on it.The canoe trip especially was just fantastic, I mean you go into prestine wilderness, no people, and talk about scenic beauty. I would call it the experience of a lifetime.

Salmon levels here too, are very, very low. Only about 10% last year of what they thought they would be. I am not really a huge environmental kind of guy, I recycle and turn of lights and have a smaller car and that kind of thing, but numbers like that are pretty alarming.

Conservation and education go hand in hand, I believe. True fisherman understand conservation, and primarily practise catch and release. Imo, more should be done to punish the poachers and the people fishing out of season/keeping undersize fish or over fishing.
Many fisherman volunteer their own time to clean garbage out of the rivers, help with fish stocking/tagging and information gathering for the local Ministries.

Those lakes up in Saskatchewan are known for monster Northerns(Pike).

How long did it take for the entire trip? The trip was so cool, Ill never forget it. We werent in a rush, so the 109 miles took us about 12 days. When we found an especially nice spot, we might camp for a few days. Picoral are a nicer tasting fish than the northern pike. The pike actually have pretty big teeth, I got bit more than once taking the hook out. Ive never caught a pike this big but Ive seen my uncles make 3 foot pike catches, maybe a litlle longer. I just remembered there was a bridge up there, that was over these pretty good rapids and it was quite high up , I think it was 45 feet. My uncle jumped off the bridge, I got out on the gurter, but I just couldnt do it. You wear 2 life jackets, so its pretty safe, well sorta. I just thought of something funny, remember the movie Deliverence, well this canoe trip wasnt anything like that.
