Axiom Home Page Forums General Discussion Stereo Pair of M80Tise's for only $900?

Has anyone heard of this company "www.vertigoonline.com" that sells the Axiom product line for cheaper than you can buy them direct from Axiom? Please,...no whiny responses from the diehard Axiom groupies (you know who you are)...I'm just asking a general question as a concerned consumer...especially since I paid $1,100 for mine!

Looks like they're probably blowing out old inventory from when Axiom wasn't all direct sales. If you look at the pics of the QS4s (assuming they're QS4 pics, not QS2s), you'll see it's the old style of tweeter (probably the 1/2 inch ones). However, I've never heard of the company, and haven't a clue whether they're reputable or not.

maybe theyre selling the ones that were stolen from axiom when they got robbed...

Actually i dont remember what they took. if anything. i honestly dont know if these guys are "authorized" to sell online. i have never heard of em. i checked out their site. I dunno ! you would have to pay shipping, which could easily be over 200 dollars depending on where you are. i only paid 935 from axiom outlet.

I thought Axiom came out of the gate as a direct sales company? What about the M80's? Are those old stock, judging by the pics of them?

yeah i dont remember the exact details but i think they got broke into last year in jan or feb or so. some searching of the forums will turn up the post.

Can't really tell on the M80s; the design change was less recent (I think-could be totally wrong here). The old ones were TMTMWW, not TTMMWW (from what I've heard.) Axiom used to do the reseller model, but they stopped about the time I was getting into these boards.

Yeah thats how the old ones were. I saw a pic on the audioshop (i think) website a long time ago.

And i searched the forums. axiom got robbed last year during the holidays, they had a few pairs of M80's stolen according to the post.

Not that this has anything to do with anything but its intersting knowledge!

if they sound reputable go for it
make sure they are the current models, find out shipping costs, and ask about anything else you may wonder about

they look like axioms,. 800 bucks for an m80 looks pretty good.

also, i have heard that canadian stores sometimes offer better deals then the axiom website does. maybe it has to do with shipping or bulk deals they got.

It looks like the real thing.

For a time Axiom sold speakers via regular audio outlets. Those days are now gone, even in Canada.

I think all that Vertigo Online has done is buy out existing stock from companies that used to sell Axioms products and is now selling at a reduced price.
