Just came across a brand new not refurb YAMAHA RX V3900 for $760 at Best Buy. Sounds to good to be true. Can anyone give me reasons this would not be a great deal? Does anyone own this unit? Looking to run 5.1 with M22v2,VP100v2,and M3ti's for surround, HSU sub. Would also be interested in running multiple zones (4). Also like the 2 HDMI outs for projector and HDTV ( I use both in the same room with a drop down screen when I want to use the projector. Any input would be great.

Maz, I don't have any personal experience with that unit, but that price is so low (list is about $1900)that if it is new and in good condition it's an exceptional buy. If you haven't seen this review , it should be of interest. It's a powerful amplifier with nearly all the features possible(my own preference would be a Denon or Onkyo with Audyssey MultEQ).

Enjoy the music, not the equipment.

I currently am using Onkyo tx sr501 and have been very happy. Looking to upgrade to HDMI and came across the Yamaha, as a close out, at Best Buy. They only have one remaining. Might have to go for it.

Thats a steal, buy it!!!!!!!!
I have a Yamaha RX-V1900, I would have bought the 3900 but I couldnt afford it, in Canada they are double that. Read some reviews, Ive never heard anything bad about them. It has all the bells and whistles. They also have the same Anchor Bay video processer as the denon 3310. They are a superb quality unit. I asked on here and have since found out they are 4ohm stable, with gobs of power.

Yup, I'd say get it. You don't have the 4 ohm concern with the M22s, so there's no reason not to, unless it's an open box on shelf model with no remote and no warranty. Even then...

Not an open box. Brand new. Think I am heading over this A.M. to snag it. Hope no one grabbed it yesterday.
