That's a HUGE beer!!

Tom, since this is close to you, I'd like to offer the "Whimpy" compromise: I will gladly trade you 4 Timber Beasts (pay you Tuesday) for a Two Beers Ascension Triple IPA (a burger) today.

That percentage was the first release of the beer. The one I have (had!) was 15.4%. Still heady, though. smile

So, I didn't finish the boat rack. My local Home Depot didn't have the concrete footers, and I didn't feel like driving 20 minutes to check at Lowes or another Home Depot. I have everything else I need, though, but it's tough to start on a project without a foundation. frown
I just checked online and the Home Depot one town over has them in stock.

Too bad I drank my reward early. Maybe I'll put the bottle of Old Viscosity in the fridge for my second reward. smile

Woo hoo! It started to rain just as I made my first cuts, but I wasn't going to let that stop me. I put up the patio umbrella and kept working. I still got soaked, but the damn rack is built. Now, if you'll excuse me, the Submit button is between me and my beer. smile

I was extremely exited this weekend. I finally made a batch of homemade after years of laziness. It's an ale with a light citrus flavor balanced with honey. Turned out pretty nice. Just hoppy enough so it's not all 'girly citrusy' but nice and refreshing on a hot summer day.

Nice! I haven't brewed in over a year. I suck.

You need to reward yourself with other beer after you've brewed your own.

Young's Double Chocolate Stout. Nice Mocha kind of taste, smooth and creamy.

Last Friday, I had the chance to meet up with MarkSJohnson in Vermont. I was visiting friends in Brattleboro, and Mark graciously drove over from his stately manor in New Hampshire to join us for dinner at Whetstone Station, a nice brewpub on the Connecticut River. We had a great time. Mark had Trout River Rainbow Red and I had Northshire Brewery Chocolate Stout and a Katarina Wittbier (punny!). It was a great time, especially since he gave me a package of little umbrellas for my drinks. Somewhere, Ray3 is smiling.
