I just came across this just recently web-published review...

Hsu VTF-3R

It's a review of the downfiring, rosewood model, which if I'm not mistaken is still available for $849! (With the AVS online coupon at checkout)

Geesh, you'd think I was on the Hsu payroll, no? LOL...

Looks Great! The price has come down a lot on the rosewood version. Please forgive me for dragging this off topic but has anyone ever shipped one of these to Canada? I'm interested in buying one but I would like to know the extra costs. Any info or tips would be appreciated.

Thanks.

I think they've only been offering the Rosewood at the $849 price until the new VTF-3 come in. They've been out of stock on the regular model for quite some time.

At $799, the piano black version might temp some people, too. Though it must be a bitch to keep finger prints off it, especially with little ones running around

I'm sure once the new VTF-2's arrive the Rosewood's price will head back up. I could be wrong though.

Hi Rob,

I was interested in the VTF-2 and contacted Hsu Research. They told me that it was made in the US and that the STF line was made in China.

If the VTF-3R is made in the US then under NAFTA you would be exempt from duty. You would still have to pay for delivery (if applicable), gst & pst and probably brokerage fees.

I would contact Hsu to see about the country of origin and then their shipper UPS, FedEX, whoever, to confirm brokerage fees.

A very rough rule of thumb is to take the US price and double it, that often reflects the true price delivered to your door in Cnd dollars

Hello,

Just wondering what everyone thinks of these sub? Also where to purchase and where to get ahold of the "AVS online coupon" mentioned above (if possible). Thanks for all the info.

Sully

The VTF-3 is amazing, and the "coupon" is from AVS. Keep hitting refresh until the Hsu banner ad pops up.
