Howdy from Nashville all. I finally made the leap of faith last friday and made my axiom order and wanted to see what you all think of my final setup. I have finally decided to treat myself to a HT setup. Please let me explain what im coming from.

Eosone satellite setup (decent brand made exclusively for best buy by Polk) with a box store Sony 525 receiver and a 27 inch tv (yes they are still out there.) Have had the speakers and receiver for going on ten years and they treated me well until i abused them in college. About six months ago i began the research to find me an affordable but suitable HT setup. For the longest time i was looking at a Denon 1910 and the Pro Cinema 1000's by def tech and a 42" LCD Samsung. Until 3 weeks ago the only thing that had changed was either the Pro Cinemas or Axiom with a EP sub. In the end I wound up buying a 50" Panasonic plasma, the Denon 2310, Axiom M22's, VP100 QS4's and a SVS sub. Its funny to see it come full circle actually. I already have the tv and the Denon in place and already i am shocked at what a decent receiver can do especially for the LFE channel.

Sorry for the long post but have much time to sit and read the forums awaiting the arrival of my new speakers. everything should be here on thursday.

Congrats on all the new gear, Nashvegas! Let us know what you think of everything once you get it up and running.

Welcome to the forums, by the way!

It's like Cartman waiting for Wii. We know. Welcome and happy listening. We are still in love with our V-15 after 8 months, though it did blow out pixels in less than 3 weeks and the entire screen had to be replaced.

Welcome Nash, you're really going to enjoy that system, I have a similar set up with a 58" S1 Panny, Denon 3808, M80s, VP150 and QS8's rounded out with an SVS PB13 Ultra sub. I also own M22s and they are amazing speakers for the price.

Thanks for the responses all. I appreciate the feedback on the M22's as well. I see most people on here it seems has the M80's or similar tower speaker so was unsure if the M22's will live up to the Axiom reputation but am confident for my non audiophile ears they should be fine. Anyone also have the QS4's that can speak up? These were the two that really through me if it was worth the extra cash to step up to the QS8's but that would have meant downgrading my receiver to the 1910 and i feel the 2310 was worth the cash at this point.

I have the QS4v2. They are excellent. They achieve the same goals as the QS8 which is a non-directional (its hard to tell that the surround material is coming from the speakers) "enveloping" sound. The QS8 have more power handling which is suitable for larger rooms and people with power amps, due to the larger cabinet and driver, different crossover point and goes just a tad bit deeper. However, you don't run surrounds full range anyway.

If you have a variable crossover point setting for each speaker on your AVR, I would set the QS4's crossover point between 80hz - 100hz

I've had two different SVS subs, and the M22s blended very well with either one. You will love your new setup. Congratulations.

Oh, absolutely. The M22s were certainly what made it for me. Of course, those were the first Axioms I had ever heard, so...

Congrats! That sounds like an excellent setup. Hopefully, you will hang out here a bit now and keep us filled in on your impressions.
