I'm not sure if this exists but I'm curious to see what the sound waves looks like from the VP150 v2 center channel speaker.

I have used a laser pointer on the top of my VP150 and I have oriented the speaker elevation so that the laser is aimed at ear level.
The dialogue is fairly clear when sitting at the couch but it's outstanding when I stand up!?

This got me thinking that the sound waves may actually be directed slightly upwards instead of straight out.
Does this make sense?

I'm just trying to find the sweet spot for dialogue.

Thanks,
Zak

Try angling the center down a little and do the stand up, sit down test and see if its different. It could also be room acoustics and the effects of floor/ceiling or wall reflections.

Horizontal center channels have a vertical dispersion opposed to the standard vertical alignment speaker that has horizontal dispersion. I would aim the center a little lower or higher than your ears and most certainly keep adjusting till it sounds the best to you.

I'd use bar stools.

could be the ceiling reflections emphasizing things when your standing up. room treatments may help.

Unbelievable to me that counted as a post to secure a free set of speakers from Axiom.

But that's just me.

If that doesn't work, switch those out for bar maids...

Actually, I've noticed that a substantial percentage of posts from the 10K+ club members are similarly contentless.

Actually, no. Only posts 1 - 10,000 counted toward the speakers. All the posts since then have been made specifically to annoy people who can't rejoice in the good fortune of others.

Very nice. I'll bet the QS8s in the upgraded veneer finish are beautiful.

Thanks for posting those links Peter. For some reason I wasn’t very active in the forum during the time that thread was running an missed it. Nice to see the group picture of the Axiom crowd to attach faces to all the names. I’ve seen some pictures before but not like that.
