You know we all love them. The latest device that is going to change our world or at the very least, make us feel like we have control over more parts of our lives than our wives do.

I'll start.
Not the coolest gadget I've ever seen but I still want it.

Intel's device to monitor all your appliances' individual electrical usage that identifies each device's unique electrical signal just by turning it off and on to add it to the list.

With great power comes Awesome irresponsibility.

"make us feel like we have control over more parts of our lives than our wives do"--I'm pretty confident that in my case there is, and never will be, such a device.

Saw that today.

My company conceived that 'plug', I even have one on my desk. It's very cool and lots of application potential. Not a bad deal to get a full Linux computer/server for $99.

Being able to film a shooting bullet or a lightning strike would be cool. \:D

I'm still holding out for the replicator.

What they don't tell you is that it takes 2000 Watts to run...

That lightning video was VERY cool!
I'd like to hear an explanation on how exactly that particular lightning type forms in that we saw the initial flash in the sky, a series of slow moving (slow, relative to the film speed) forks that look like smaller, falling, even looping, trails of light, then a much more instantaneous solid 'strike' to the ground.
