I will, I will. It's very difficult to find males your age who are willing to pose. Oh, you mean sub for me? Wish you could have. They were the courses people get "stuck with," 'cause they're so many hours long and so boring. If you've seen 243 of 'em....

I ordered a speaker in Cinnamon Beech vinyl. Since it's not one of the 4 common vinyl finishes, is there a longer waiting period?

Yes, those have a 5 week advance time, as I recall. They'll probably get a single speaker done sooner, though.

Maybe I should start e-mailing JC now and ask him when they will be ready... LOL. I think after my wait for the on-wall M22's he probably wished I chose a different speaker company.

Does this mean that I should stop checking my e-mail every 15 minutes?

No. But you should stop phoning JC every half an hour.

What a simply aweful thing to become bored of. Almost as bad as being the taste tester at a Budweiser plant. When you're friends call you up and say, "hey man you HAVE to come watch the game with us today, it's gonna be a killer time... oh and grab a case of beer on your way over will ya", and you drop the phone, and run away crying!

It's almost that bad. ALMOST.

Honestly, Micah, it's all about context. The excitement over the model becomes sensual and aesthetic. And, even after decades, there's still something a bit creepy about a room with 15-20 men and women in clothes there to study the single person without any.

But just because it becomes somewhat clinical in that situation, doesn't diminish one's enthusiasm for the same subject away from "work." It actually increases one's appreciation immensely.

And yes, a great percentage of woman you've seen nude in a work of art were carefully "studied" by the artist, sans color and brushes. A guy I went to grad school with had a bathtub in his studio and many models were seen coming and going. No one ever saw a painting or drawing by him of any woman in any bathtub. Go figure!

I've found the same thing in photographing nudes, Bob.

People assume there's a Happy Ending involved or something, but the reality is, I'm thinking light, shadow, composition and making sure the model never doubts my professionalism. It's really no big deal when all is said and done.

Micah, you're a photographer. You've never done nudes?

EDIT: I will admit, though, it's more interesting than photographing a can of corn.
