Hi everyone,
I am looking for a good stereo amp to power my M80, this amp will be use for music listening and/or music dvd in stereo mode. I am interest in the axiom A1400-2 or the Rotel RB-1572 or any other suggestion, any of you guys use one of those amp in there setup. Money is not a problem for the A1400-2 but higher price will become a problem with the wife :).

Thank
Alex
Sorry for my english, still learning after 4 years in ontario

A have read a lot of great things about Behringer professional amps (although I am not to fond of them as a company). You might want to also look into other professional amp offerings from Yamaha as well as Crown along with the original suggestions for consideration.

Good luck!

If the A1400-2's price isn't a problem, I imagine that's what I'd go with. Other amps might offer better bang for your buck, but I don't see how you could do better than an A1400. Let others chime in with their suggestions, though. I'm not the voice of sanity.

Yeah, that would be my choice, too, based on hearing absolutely none of the amps you're considering.

Peavey just released a new series of class D amps that deliver big bang for the buck (for those who don't like Behringer) and has been verified as delivering the rated power across its entire spectum without issues. Its even 2 Ohm stable.

Of course, whith a pro amp you don't have and fancy features, and nees pro connectors.

There are a few here who also really like Anthem.

I really liked the A1400 but haven't heard any other amps with the M80s in my own house. If you can afford the A1400-2 then get it, if you are not happy with it return it in 30 days, shipping is cheap for you since you are in Ontario.

Has anyone here tried an Onkyo M-282 , 2 channel amp? they appear to NOT be 4 ohm rated, although they are described as high current. Just wondering, because I found a place online that has them listed at $108 US, about 1/3 list I believe.

I've got the M-282Pro in my rack (same amp w/ears) but I can't tell you much for driving Axioms.

It's driving 2 sets of ceiling speakers in my Living area for my whole house audio. That's the one in another thread I mentioned I need more volume out of. But I don't think that has anything to do with the AMP.

I can tell you it's been running or in standby 24/7 for about a year with no problems, if that helps \:\)

Where on line for $108, I'll take a couple more!
