It's a Samick D-5 Greg Bennet design. Paid $240 for guitar, plus an electonic tuner, 2 packs of strings, some picks and a chord chart.

It's amazing to me how "cheap" translates between different things and people...

When I'm looking at a McPherson for $7,000. To pay $240 for a starter model to me seems cheap.

You should have looked at a Walmart custom guitar...you know, the 6 string with 4 strings left for $59.00, then said, "look at the nice guitar I bought!"

Honestly, that looks like a nice guitar, esp for the price. Solid top, mahogany sides and back, $240, sounds good to me. If you like playing, you can always upgrade later.

Si, sinor. Now my fingers hurt. Not going to be as easy as when I was a kid, but I'll get through it ok. I ordered a dvd for beginners to help out. My cat's intrigued. I may have to buy her one too. She can't stop looking in the hole. I'll probably find toys in there soon.

You're doing a fantastic job of keeping those speakers that are on their way to your house off of your mind Brat. Outstanding!

A hand turkey. You know, back in preschool when you placed your hand flat on a piece of construction paper and traced its outline. Then you made that outline into a turkey, with your thumb being the head.

A hand turkey!
