I have the m60's. I was told that the top connections are (usually) for the high pass or tweeter and the bottom is for the lows. Is this true for the Axiom speakers?

Also, if not bi-wiring does it matter what connection is used?(top or bottom).

The info you are looking for is in the M60 owners manual under
"Bridged"(Normal) and "Bi-Amp".

Ziggy,
I have the m60s too. If you are not bi-wiring (and why would you?), you want to keep the "bridge" connected between the top and bottom connectors - and it does not matter which pair you connect the speaker wire to. Just be sure both top and bottom posts are tight. As far as bi-amping, I believe that you are correct in your thought that the top posts are for the highs and the bottom posts are for the lows. But would like confirmation from Ian or Alan. (I am at work and don't have my manual to refer to)

I had thought that if top were for tweeter and mid --bottom were for woofer, than maybe it made a difference when NOT bi-wiring. I thought it would not, but I have learned some things I would have not known. Just making sure.
