Now that v3 has been officially announced and the new storefront is up representing the latest version, what are your thoughts? Since many can't comment on the sound quality of v3 as of yet (with the exception of the VP180 touted as a "giant killer" of centre channels), v3 does bring out some cosmetic changes to the entire lineup of Axiom speakers. This polls goal is to gauge aesthetic preferences between the ti/v2 to v3 among Axioms diehards as well as any new/potential customers reading this interested in buying Axiom products and becoming apart of the Axiom family.

You are missing one choice: Indifferent, it does not matter to me if all my speakers match

Good point. Is there any way I can edit the poll and add that option?

For now if this is your choice, reply to the thread and say indifferent: does not matter if speakers match so there still can be a running tally for that option.

But..that option IS there. Were you able to add it?

No, the option of I want all my speakers to match is there. The option of "I don't care if my speakers match" isn't.

There's no option that includes the phrase "rat's ass".

I'm voted for V3 was a big improvement. Because while I was looking at a picture posted here, somewhere, of M80s with black caps and VP180 with aluminum. I leave my grills on. One reason for this is I find the look with the black caps to make the speakers look "busy" and "distracting" while watching a movie. The all aluminum look is a more natural look and not so distracting.

Well, when I first saw the VP180, I thought: "Matchng all aluminum dustcaps just does not look right" and "The ti/v2 versions look better aesthetically."

But then I realized that sound quality is what really matters, so I became "Indifferent: I just want all my speakers to match."

I did, however, instantly and unexpectedly fall in love with the magnetic grilles, so I may have shifted just slightly towards "v3 is a marginal improvement aesthetically over the ti/v2 versions," even though the "improvement" can only be seen with the grilles off.

I contemplated upgrading all my v2's to v3's but couldn't justify the extra cost just to get the mag grilles. THEN my wife says she likes the Al caps better Well, me being the loving and supportive husband that I am, I decided to bite the bullet and upgrade everything to v3's and make her happy.

And through all of that the look of the Al caps slowly grew on me, and now I think they do look nice. Is that because I know I'll be owning them, so subconsciously my mind is "liking" them in an attempt to co-exist with them in hamony? Maybe, and it may be partly to justify the upgrade itself as well, but either way I am happy with the looks of the v3's now

So...which one should I select for the poll given that my selection went through an evolution process?? The only one I know I personally would not select is "v3 is a big improvement aesthetically over the ti/v2 versions."
