Ichigo, the Yamaha 1900 is a generally fine unit, but I'd suggest one of the Denon or Onkyo models of similar price or a level lower(e.g., Denon 2310 or Onkyo 707). Primarily, the reason is the presence of Audyssey MultEQ automatic calibration and room equalization on the Denon and Onkyo models.

Should I go with the 707 or 608?
For what I could see the 608 Japanese version back panel is different from Us one.

I had decided on the Onkyo 608 but I wanted the Ipod dock and usb on it. As I have seem Pioneer models have them for a lower price, but as you guys say Onkyo and Denon would be better choices.

Regarding Denon models we don't have the 2310 here.

The 707 would be the better choice, since it has the superior Audyssey MultEQ, rather than the 2EQ on the 608. The MultEQ allows for more measuring points, and even more significantly, equalizes the sub channel, which the 2EQ does not.

We have the 808 here. It was released together with the 708.
