Hi everyone. I am about to change my front speaker, i actually have the M3, my center is the VP150 (EP350 and QS8 for the rest)
My a/v reciever is a Marantz SR5003. Should i must take the M80 over the M60 ?
I had in mind to get the M60 (whos actually rated at 8ohms) and with the money save look at VP180. This is for 50/50 movie/music.
Any advise ?

Thx you

I might not be the best person to answer this, especially if you are not wanting to spend more money than you intially intended to spend..LOL

If you have the room and the power, I would go with the M80's. Then I would look at upgrading the VP-150 to the 180. That is what I just did this week and will have everything hooked tomorrow.

Now if your budget doesn't allow that, then I would go with the M60's and add the VP-180. Several folks on here have gone that route and have enjoyed that setup.

Good luck either way.

The M60 VP180 combination sounds like a good idea given how much movie viewing you do.

There is a difference between the M60 and M80, but it is subtle. The difference between the VP100/150 and the VP180 sounds like it is quite large.

If you can't afford M80s/VP180 then I would certainly go for the M60's/VP180. As Fred mentioned the difference between the M60/M80 is subtle, especially once the volume is turned up, but the VP180 appears to have much better response than the VP150 so this upgrade would be most beneficial especially for movies.

As long as you have somewhere to put the VP180... it's a beast!
