I set up my new Sony S570 blu-ray player this weekend, and we are all hooked up to netflix and the works. Now that we have done that, we are thinking we kinda need a second wifi blu-ray player for the loft area upstairs for the kids. That way my wife and I can watch a movie downstairs, and the kids can watch a movie upstairs.

My question is, given the bandwidth for streaming 2 movies from netflix at a time, it is possible to get the movies without interuption.

I have Cox internet, with my download speed aroud 20-23 mb/s (upload is about 4.5 mb/s). I have a Linksys E2000 router, so I should be good there.

Are any of you out there doing dual wifi movie streaming at the same time, and what are your results?

If this is something worth doing, I know I can get a Vizio wifi blu-ray player for under $150 at Sam's club, so that is what I'm thinking.

I'd love to get some input from the experts on this.

2 posts a year for 8 years. Excellent restraint.

I have Cox cable, a single Sony WiFi. Love it. Dunno about 2.

Good luck.

LOL, I haven't pulled the trigger on my axioms yet. Life keeps getting in the way. I'm hopefully going to Grunt's this week to hear his set up. Since I'm not in the club, I just look around here and keep biding my time until I can afford the setup I want! I post a lot over on the avs forum site.

You are in good hands with Mr. Grunt. What set up are you considering?

Well the on-wall M22's would work best aesthetically , but the M60's would be idea with the QS8's, a VP150 and maybe dual JBL subs. I would like to get a new Onkyo 808 receiver to top it all off, but that may have to wait.

The M22's would fit perfectly on the outer part of my in-wall set up, next to the windows.

If money only grew on trees! Ah then I could really do it right!

Don't know about the on-the-wall M22s, but I've fallen in love with a pair of M22V2s. The M60s are great. I'm partial to Onkyos and like the pliiz upper front channel capability of the 808. Also, you can always cook on Onkyos if you have to. I'm not familiar with JBL subs, but they make some great very high end speakers.

It's a buyer's market out there. There are terrific deals to be had. I've seen Focals, Thiels, and Vienna Accoustics discounted by 50%.

It's nice to see that Axiom is holding the line on prices as they are, but there are some great, suddenly affordable high end alternatives out there.

Sorry to get back on subject wink I'll play netflix streaming wireless in the living room off the PS3 while the kids are doing the same with the Roku in their room with no noticeable effects. My download speed is about 2.75 mbps and upload at around 4.4. So I don't see you having any problems.

Dad, thanks for the tip. I didn't think it would be a big deal since I run on average 17-22mb/s download speeds, which should more than handle running 2 movies. I just wanted to make sure before I went out and got another wifi blu-ray player.
