I've got a small dent in the side of my new pickup truck that's barely noticeable, but I know it's there and it tends to show up in certain lighting esp when the truck's clean(bugs the h@ll out of me). There is no damage to the paint itself, only a small 2" long by perhaps 1/32" deep dent above/behind the rear wheel. A body guy at GM told me I would be best to check out one of the PDR(paintless dent removal) co's such as Dent Wizard or Dent Doctor....has anyone used either of these companies or similar and were you satisfied with the price/results?

Thanks, Adrian

You'll be fine using those guys Adrian, they will have that dent disappeared in no time and at a very reasonable cost.

The GM guy told me to expect to pay around $150+/-.

I had a similar dent in the area right behind my rear window. I was told the same thing by my car dealer, but I never did it and I had completely forgotten about it, until now....

That seems a little high, I was thinking $100 or even less but it's been a long time since I've used the PDR. Seems like I paid $75 about three years ago for a small dent removal (PDR) on my wife's car.

Could be the going rate for all I know now Adrian.

Maybe that was the cost if I went through GM instead of directly to the Dent guy. They do the same with windshield repairs afaik, just send it out or bring the specialist in, then charge extra.

Yes, I have little dents that also bug me that I've never done anything about. Has anyone ever tried those things that you attach and it kinds of sucks out the dent--they're advertised on TV sometimes? Do they work?

Never tried one though I've heard of it before. I would think if there's any type of crease, it won't work too well, but if it's a "push in" type dent it could work.

Here's a video showing it being done.

I've personally done dent removal this way (autobody is what I was going to take in college but my legs stopped working) for Dodge/Chrysler autobody, but not with those adhesives. Only difference is that I welded rods to the dent. The procedure with the slider rod is the exact same.

Dent Wizard is amazing. $150 is about right. I used to hire them on a weekly basis. They have a book with every vehicle in it showing where they can reach or can't.
