Has anyone used the In-Cabinet M80 (or M60) in a wall? I'm interested in the M80, but an in-wall would be really nice in my planned room. The back side of the wall is open to s storage room, so depth behind the wall is not a problem. I assume the In-Cabinet version is engineered to minimize effects of the cabinet front, which should make it better than mounting an M80 in the wall.

Can't help you on the questions, but you definately would not want to mount regular m80's in a wall that you describe, it would run the sound. The cabinet versions are intended to be mounted within a wall cavity, so that would be a better choice.

Hi Don,

The Axiom M80 In-Cabinet is the model which you need for your application; it was especially designed for similar applications as yours.

This is my plan too, to put in-cabinet M80 behind an acoustically transparent projector screen.

Why not just put the standard M80's behind the screen, unless your putting them in a wall behind the screen?

donlboy mentioned his were "in a wall". Same as mine, because I don't have enough room, I have to put them in a wall with the backs sticking out into a garage.

Thay also have only a single port on the front of the speaker opposed to the 2 on the back and one on the front of the standard M80.
