The EP 350 is rated for a frequency range of 30Hz to 120khz but what is the actual low frequency cutoff for this sub?
Is it 30Hz right on the nose or can it theoretically (or maybe in reality) hit notes below that level?

I find it odd that the M80Ti is actually rated to go 2Hz lower than the EP350. Almost makes you wonder why the subwoofer is necessary.

Then again, if you crank it, that sucker really puts out some LOUD bass.

I hear most Axiom products go lower than they claim. For example, M22's go down to 40, but they're rated at 50. So, maybe the EP350 goes down to 25 or 22, or maybe even 20.

I figure the sub can go below what it is rated at but it would be nice to know a low frequency cutoff just even out of curiousity to say what the ABSOLUTE lowest frequency that this sub can produce is possible.
Many other companies promote this as an advertising bit (ie. PSB subsonic 7 has frequency range of 25hz-140khz yet low frequency cutoff is 18Hz).
I really am just curious what the absolute limit of the Axioms subs are at.

As info, here's an exerpt from an email Ian C sent me prior to purchasing my EP350 when I was inquiring about the ability of the subs to produce a 20hz signal....... "The EP175 is down 10 db at 20 Hz and the EP350 is down 8 db"

Ian, in a previous post, stated that the sub's drop off in db's is gradual where the rest of the speakers drop off drastically after the rated Hz level. The graphs for the sub looks like a gentle hill slope where the other speakers drop off like a mountain side. Hope this helps.
