You're as bad as I am. Looking to pick up Dragon Age Origins for cheap this weekend.

I have been watching my son play Medal of Honor, looks to be a bit of fun, he says he likes it. I guess I will have to try some of these games one of these days.

I would still like to try GT5 but will either rent it or buy when it is like 30 bucks.

Since I'm out of town I'm not able to play any COD so am enjoying Phantasy Star II on my iphone some more.

Someone asked me what my favorite game ever was recently. I couldn't pick one, but Phantasy Star II came to mind. That was another that I paid full ($70) price for.

Favorite game ever would be a tough call. Too many of them shaped my childhood. It would be like asking me what my favorite finger is. My middle finger, obviously, but then how would I hitchhike? So the middle game is my favorite. Both of them.

Dragon Age Origins help:

So, how does a non-gamer start (think someone who has only played stuff like Rayman and Ratchet & Clank)? There seems to be a lot of stuff to pay attention to.

I'm tempted to start with the simplest setting to get a feel for the game and then start again at a more difficult level.

In general I don't do things multiple times, so I like to start on the most difficult level I can. I also prefer strategy over action, which, from what I have read suggests I start at a high level of dificulty. The question is if I can survive long enough to get a handle on the game if I start at hard or nighmare.

Thoughts?

Not sure about dragon age but some games let you change the difficulty at any point during play.
