I pre-ordered the new Norah Jones CD from Music Direct a couple weeks ago. I got a call this morning from their sales department telling me that I'd chosen the most expensive shipping method (next-day, $20) and were making sure that's what I'd intended. (It probably looked very strange that I was paying more for shipping than for the CD!)

I had meant to choose the cheapest method, so I was very grateful they made the effort to confirm my shipping. Good customer service is very refreshing.

have you seen anything about an SACD release for this Norah Jones disc? I'd hate to have to buy it twice.

not yet. I assume they'll go the same route as the previous release though -- waiting for it to go platinum to justify a re-release.

Word from another site is, they won't be releasing an SACD version at all, and definitely not at the outset. Apparently, the first SACD didn't sell enough copies to justify the expense of doing the new album as an SACD.

wow, that's frustrating. My denon 2200 can't get a good workout on new titles if they labels don't release them. format wars continue...

Did you listen to Norah Jones yet? I listened to it in the car briefly this morning. For reason, it didn't sound as detailed as the first album. I know listening in the car isn't the best judge and I haven't listened at home yet. However, listening to the first album was very eye opening even in my car. I didn't get that feeling w/ this album. Just curious if it's just a "bad" morning for me.
