My old ep350 v2 amp took a dump, and a replacement amp would not be available for months. Axiom being the great customer service company they are, sent me out a new ep350 v3 enclosure and amp without a subwoofer speaker. I removed the speaker out of the old enclosure two months ago troubleshooting the problem with Axiom techs. I am not sure about wiring in the speaker. There is two sets of wires: 1- combo red/black, and 1-black jumper wire.Is this a dual voice coil subwoofer? I understand the red is (+) and black is (-) but not sure about the black jumper. Does it go from one side of the sub (-) terminal to the other side of the subwoofer (-) terminal? J.C. cannot get me an answer until tomorrow how to hook up the wires and I am dying to hook up the EP350. Been waiting for two months.....you can all understand. Can anyone help with this matter?

I definitely would not connect the 2 terminals together with a jumper. This would short out the circuit and may ruin the amplifier.

Craig, welcome back and belated Happy Birthday! Fortunately I haven't had any reason to inspect my EP500 wiring and don't want to guess about the EP350. Unless someone here who's actually done that with their EP350 sees this, you'd better wait for specific info from Axiom.

Thank you for your responses. Patience is a virtue, and I guess tomorrow will be here before you know it. Guess I should have drawn up the wiring before I disconnected the speaker. Can't always depend on the brain for recovery of information!

I've only done the amp side of the new EP350 (they're actually separated by a plastic boot inside the enclosure), but mine only had a red and black connector pair coming from the amp.

Helpful, ain't I?

my A/V receiver has both front left/right, high/wide output jacks, so the total is 3 jacks on the left and 3 jacks on the right. My question is do I need to provide a 3 sets of audio cable (black/red) on the front left and 3 sets on the front right to connect it to the front speakers?, and where's the exact location on the speakers of m80 input jacks?. I observed in the m80 v2 back photo has 2 sets of input jacks my guess is that this is high and low jacks but where is the wide jack?. Anyway, i hope you got my point, thanks in advance for understanding my questions.... Saul

Saul, those items are all for completely separate speakers. High and wide channels are part of new surround specs, and should NOT be connected to your M80s. All you need is to connect the left and right to the corresponding speaker. With the straps between the posts on the M80s in place (the little gold plated pieces), you can connect to either set.
