Anyone have this Onk? Particularly with M80s? It is a tempting, tempting price/feature set.

No, Ken, but I note that it's back in (limited)supply at A4L for about $600.

I have it but only run W22 L/R, V150, 4 QS8's and an EP500. It works well and supports HDMI 1.4 for 3D. I am playing 3D content through a PS3 and everything works as advertised. Happy camper

Ken, I think that model is of relatively recent vintage, so it should be OK with the M80s.

It's only the old Onkyos of the circa-2002 era that had really crappy output stages that shut down with the M80s (despite what JohnK claims. . )

I've decided to hold off for now until I can afford to upgrade multiple things at once.

I had it's direct predecessor (the TX-NR807) and it was fantastic. I just replaced it with a TX-NR1008, which is the next step up to provide 9 channels of amplification (to go with some new Axiom speakers!) In my experience, Onkyo makes great quality products with a fantastic array of features for the price.
