Yes, it's true - our beloved Axiom Message Boards have been going strong for ten years now.

Here's a link to the very first thread back in March, 2001:

Woofer Size

In the spirit of celebration, I looked at the list of users to see who was here from the beginning. Many of the earliest users were - no surprise - Axiom employees. Things looked pretty slow through much of 2001 but then began picking up a lot of momentum going into 2002.

I was able to see that the regular (over 500 posts) who has been here the longest is BBIBH, user #108, registered 1-10-02. Later that year, alan, JohnK, sonicfox, chesseroo, and many others joined. JohnK is the senior axiomite (over 5000 posts). The senior (and first) shareholder-in-the-making is pmbuko, registered 4/2/03.

Thanks again to the people of Axiom for ten years of message board fun. It's been informational, it's been at times confrontational, but most of all, it's been a really cool place to hang out. I really cherish the friendships, both virtual and with actual meet-ups, that I've made here. The homecoming weekend last September was nothing but quality time from start to finish.

Cheers!

I think this "David" from Muskoka was a plant, not a real person. First post ever and that's his only one? Maybe he REALLY didn't like Ian's answer.

JP, I couldn't have said it better. The quality of my life has been greatly improved by the relationships I've built here and the things I've learned here.

Of course, sh!t got real in 2003.

Nice to see that some of the "originals" still show up here. As has been said, it's wonderful to chit chat here, learn a few things, have some laughs, and also meeting up with everyone last fall. I have...to...go now. I, I got something in m-m-my eye....

Very good, JP. One of the interesting things is that for about the first year it wasn't necessary to register to post a reply and this could be done as "anonymous". So, although this was my first reply after registering, I made a number of them anonymously in previous months. I still recall my first, because the original post was so absurd. He was complaining about the titanium tweeter on the M2 and said that not only did it make his ears bleed, but it also left a metallic taste in his mouth. I suggested that he put a mint in his mouth and cotton in his ears, but his following reply seemed to indicate that he was upset at not being taken seriously.
