if you have windows just right click on image file and select open with microsoft office picture manger or open with office 2010. from there you can adjust the image size, I usually use one of the pre-defined sizes and pick "web large".

Of course, now that you have the photos uploaded to photobucket at a decent size you could just ricght click on the image from your web browser and save it, then re-upload to image forum.

Hey Dan, I hooked them up as you suggested and everything sounded fine. Just outta the box they sounded great, imaging and detail was very apparent...I can't wait to run YPAO and recalibrate my room. Btw...guy's since I sold my RC30's I hooked up my Athena As-b2's...needless to say, I'm very happy with my sound, not that I'm suprised! smile

PS: Dave, thanks for the tip I used MS office to resize my pic's and it seemed to do the trick. We'll see when I try and upload some WIP pic's if I messed up or not?... blush.

Regards, Bill... smile

Well...I've started the installation process for my new speakers and run into a snag. There is a air vent located exactly where I wanted to install my right side speaker and to further complicate matters for me the adjacent wall studs (ext ones from the garage) are also in the way. Just waiting for my help to arrive so I can remove my Plamsa and start running some speaker wires in in behind the walls...betcha my wife won't mind the house being upside down with the walls looking like swiss cheese...the day before Easter... grin.

Quick question here: There is some installation where I'm installing the W22's. Should I remove it or just leave it..if the speakers fit? I would think it's the latter but just wanna make sure?blush

Otherwise, I've taken some pic's throughout this and will upload them once I've completed all the dry wall work.

Regards, Bill... smile

Concerning removal of the insulation:

The batt insulation, that fluffy pink or white stuff, loses effectiveness when squished down. It should remain as fluffy as possible to create the little trapped air chambers that makes it work. Cut out just enough to make the speaker fit, but no more. If possible, scoop it out, leaving it intact behind the speaker. If not possible, then 1 piece of the rigid board insulation that is the proper thickness and affix that behind the speaker. Don't leave any air gaps, but fill everything in.

Yeah...it's the pink insulation and I'll see how it all fits once I install the speakers. I'd prefer not to remove any insulation so I'll see how things fit....another issue of concern was cutting through some portions of the vapour barrier trying to feed through the speakers wire. I'll use some red tuck tape and reseal those areas....nothing is ever as easy as it appears...lol.

Thanks, Cat

I just wanna prefix this by saying nothing is every as easy as it looks. We ran into a few snags along the way(minor ones of course), waited for the installation of our new hardwood floors and I just finished all the painting this weekend....I'm tired and I still have to hook up my display and calibrate the room.... crazy.

Here are some pic's of the WIP>

I've had my new speakers for about 2 wks and I can honestly say they're finally broken in...jk wink. Yeah...they sound very good and I'd like to comment on how they would compared to my former speakers(Energy Rc 30's)but my room is a bit more lively now than before so its really hard to say? I am however very happy with my decision going with the inwall route. Here the fianl pic's of my completed set-up ...I'd like to also thank those whom helped me along and to those of you who took the time to look.

Btw...the middle & right side pic's are from the Eagles Farewell 1 Tour from Melbourne and it simply sounded amazing.

Regards, Bill.... smile

I agree, the DTS mastered playback from that dvd is reference material. I had the opportunity to see them live last June and they sounded great that night too(great live band...imo). smile
