Doesn't the RS meter have a frequency response flat down to only 35Hz or so? If so, how do you know you're flat down to 20Hz?

REW has a correction file for the RS meter that applies the correction curve automatically.

As I understand it, that allows reasonably accurate measurements from 20 to about 300 Hz. (I think)

It may be that the low end is 25Hz.

In any case, a calibrated mic would obviously be better but I am happy with the results I achieved with the RS meter for now.
