I watched this after you mentioned it. Pretty good stuff. I'd probably get more out of it if I was more familiar with the era it's lampooning, but there was still plenty to enjoy.

Fresh Off the Boat has been great so far. The actors are all top-notch, but I'm blown away by Constance Wu in her role. I feel old, though. I looked her up, and she's 10 years younger than I am.

Sad to see Parks and Recreation go. I wish all of the people involved the best.

I'm going to keep mentioning it. Ha ha. The Mindy Project is knocking it out of the park. I hope it sticks around as long as Parks and Recreation.

Of course I'm keeping up with It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. It's still really good, though this season has seen a little more rehash than usual.

Better Call Saul is off to an okay start, but I'm having trouble being as patient with it as I was with Breaking Bad. That being said, it's great to see Bob Odenkirk doing more of the role he really knew how to play.

And of course I'm trying another Korean drama. Pinocchio. The premise is that 1 in 43 (I think) people suffer from a condition called Pinocchio syndrome that makes you hiccup whenever you lie, which really limits their ability to function in society. I'm curious where they're going to take it.

I watched The Amazing Spider-man 2 movie for the first time last night. Was much better than my expectations.

Watched 'Fury' last night. I can't say that it was 'enjoyable' due to its graphic war scenes & really questionable story line. I know that the Allied soldiers were not choirboys, but this movie goes overboard in trying to portray them as louts & thugs.

What made it hard to fathom for me was that there were many scenes where the notion of reality was kind of a stretch. One glaring example, the excessive time that it took for the 'potato masher' grenades that were tossed into the tank to detonate. And what was that long scene in the house with the 2 civilian ladies all about? Completely unnecessary to the story IMO & rather ugly content & dialogue as well.

Some good LFE throughout but I had a hard time understanding a lot of dialogue even with the VP160.

My wife departed half way through - not worth it IMO...

The movies that are being barfed out of the movie mill of late are awful. I watched 3 movies last nite and the best one was the animated Disney movie Big Hero 6. The other 2 were Foxcatcher and Captive and TBH I wish I would have saved the 12.00 for the rental and just watched a show on Discovery Channel. Tom I know how your wife feels, I wish I could have got up and went to bed .

I saw The Judge last night and liked it.

Sorry to be so wordy.

I'm known for my in-depth reviews and didn't want to disappoint.

I liked Pinocchio a lot. The Pinocchio syndrome figured into the story, but not so much that it was a gimmick. There was a lot going on, and it really feels like the characters had been on a journey by the end of it. That's one of the things that's been impressing me about the better Korean dramas. They come up with interesting stories and prioritize character development. And while they do inject a fair amount of tension, there's a lot of restraint and patience shown, too, so it doesn't feel like a roller coaster that's all corkscrews.

The new Aziz Ansari comedy special on Netflix is worthwhile. I'm comfortable calling him one of my favorite stand-up comedians at this point.

Now I'll try to watch another episode or two of season 3 of House of Cards before bed. I had to shelve it for a little bit when Pinocchio got more engaging.

Mike, it absolutely counts.

We finished up Season 3 HOC over the weekend, and started watching the Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, which I am enjoying.

We also re-started watching NYPD Blue from the beginning since it is now on Netflix. Man, Dennis Franz is REALLY freaking good. Every scene.

Watching "The Office" reruns, part way through season 4 at the moment.
