We've been addicted to Spotify this week, cranking up the tunes louder than usual. I noticed some rattling on the sub and took it apart.

I thought the first section was an active speaker but it looks like it's some kind of moving baffle. After a close inspection, it seems that the main part has come unglued. See pix below to see what I mean.

Piece removed.

Side view as I pushed the speaker out. Notice the air gap.

1) Does this look damaged?
2) What's the repair method? If it's DIY, what glue would I use? It's a bit of tight fit and my clumsiness might make a mess but I'm more concerned w/ using an adhesive that seeps through.

That's a good question. If you don't get an answer, I'll take apart my EP0v1 and let you know what it looks like on Monday.

I know that's a passive radiator, so I'm not sure if it needs to be attached.

Of course, the best answer might be to call Axiom and find out.

Cesar, it does look from the pictures, especially the second one from the side, that the radiator has come loose(and that you have awful big hands). As far as DIY, I've read that many manufacturers use regular PVA(polyvinyl acetate)emulsion white glue for cones. I have no idea what Axiom uses.

I know that you got that just over a year ago now, so if you call Axiom(and don't mention those 110dB peaks that you were hitting in the kitchen)they may accommodate you.

Enjoy the music, not the equipment.
