Congrats Ken. Peter, definitely not buying anything within first month of moving in. Now the CFO can't use the excuse that we are saving fo Down payment though. wink

I wish... It's 401(k), can't tap it until mid 2012. But it's not enough for retirement yet. The other account I maintain is one of my sister's.

I'm in the middle of closing the deal on selling my house. Then leaving CT for Charleston, SC to buy a new place. It's all a little stressful at the moment.

I am so glad I was able to buy during the 8k tax rebate with a VA nothing down loan. It funded all my HT upgrades and then some, still leaving me 12k in the bank. It doesn’t hurt having a $460/month house payment (less than my previous rent), including insurance and property tax, either. 

But, congratulations to all you new-home buyers! Feels nice doesn’t it?
