I know, I know... another QS8 placement question. Finaly.. Ive purchased a set of QS8s to complete my package. Heres the delema... if I use the supplied bracket or the aftermarket wall hanger sold here... the top of my speaker will be 3-4 inches from top of ceiling. I'll be using a overhang on one side ( framed in duck work ) and there will be a window on the other. The bracket can only come down so far before it hits the top of the window. Would the 3 inches be ok or should I use a ceiling bracket, move them away from the side walls and allow to hang lower? ( curious, just how low do they hang with the ceiling bracket ? )

3-4 inches will be fine. In fact, that's about how low they go with the ceiling bracket.

Mine were probably within 2 inches of the ceiling in my previous installation and they seemed to work just fine. Perhaps not ideal, but 3-4 inches should be quite livable.

I've had mine mounted in a few "less than ideal" locations, and they still do quite well.
